Injured Cavendish to miss races

No return date set as yet

Manx cycling superstar Mark Cavendish will miss the Scheldeprijs race today and Paris-Roubaix at the weekend due to injury.

The Manx Missile last competed at the Milan-San Remo and has been hampered by pain in his right ankle.

It's been termed an overuse injury and was first felt during the penultimate stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico.

Team Dimension Data say a return date has not been set and won't be until the problem is fully resolved.
