New meeting being held over three days this weekend

The inaugural edition of a new rallying event on the Isle of Man gets underway this afternoon (17 July).

The 2026 Isle of Man Hill Rally is expected to welcome up to 50 entries with competitors battling it out over more than 100 stage miles from today (17 July) until Sunday (19 July).

For its maiden year, the event is being run by That's Motorsport Ltd. with the support of Manx Auto Sport and its local volunteers.

With a new occasion in town and following record numbers for the Manx National Rally earlier this year, Mark Ellison of Manx Auto Sport believes the position rallying is on Island right now has never been better:

For those wishing to watch any of the event, safe spectator zones will be made available on each day.

Following scrutineering and documentation this morning, onlookers will be able to see a ceremonial start on Douglas Promenade between 3.05pm and 4.10pm.

Further viewing opportunties will then be available at Knock Froy MX Circuit later on between 3.35pm and 5.46pm.

On Saturday (18 July), spectating will be possible at Jurby Motordrome between 10.03am and 4.43pm.

There will then be two spectating zones on Sunday (19 July) - the first between 9.23am and 1.23pm at Ape Mann Adventure Park at South Barrule and then at Archallagan Car Park from 10.29am and 2.23pm.

Spectators are reminded not to enter closed roads under any circumstances.
