Castletown might benefit from becoming part of a larger local authority, according to one of the town's candidates in the House of Keys general election in September.
Local commissioner Carol Quine says the Island's ancient capital desperately needs more affordable housing for the many young people who are trying to get on the property ladder.
On Mandate she told John Moss the town boundaries limited the amount of space available, and delays to the Southern Area Plan meant new ideas were needed:
