Team took joint-highest Manx medal total in 2023

Hopes are high for what the Isle of Man's swimming team can achieve at the 2025 Island Games getting underway later this week.

Taking to the pool will be 15 Manx competitors in total which will feature a number of newcomers once more, including 2022 Commonwealth Games athlete, Harry Robinson.

At the previous event in Guernsey in 2023, the Isle of Man swimming squad took 15 medals, the joint-best medals total the Isle of Man had alongside the athletics team.

Swimming team manager, Erica Bellhouse and national coach, Lee Holland are both optimistic about what their athletes can achieve this year:

Among the returning faces in the women's team from two years ago are Laura Kinley, Kiera Prentice, Libby Curphey, Chloe Batty and Lauren Dennett.

Adding to that group as newcomers will be Zoe Neuwirt, Kaya Reynolds and Olivia Williamson.

In the men's section, Robinson will be a first-timer at the games along with Jamie Farnan and Charlie Foster.

The other four men's team members - Joel Watterson, Magnus Kelly, Alex Turnbull and Zack Bellhouse - were all part of the Guernsey campaign last time out.

Away from the pool, Laura Kinley is also due to be the Isle of Man's national flag bearer at the opening ceremony for the games on Saturday, 12 July.
