Hockey: Under-14s win in season opener

However, there was a defeat for the under-18 side

The Isle of Man under-14 boys side emphatically won at the England Hockey Junior Championships at the weekend.

They beat Preston's under-14s 7-1 on Sunday (19 October) in the season opener.

Meanwhile the under-18s were defeated against Preston, however all teams will now enter draws for the next round of the competition. 

Meanwhile, there was also disappointment for the under-16 boys, under-16 and under-18 girls as the opposition's sides conceded their fixtures against the Island.
