Ladies B narrowly beaten on penalty strokes on Merseyside
The Isle of Man senior ladies A team have progressed to the next round of the England Hockey Tier 2 Knockout Championships.
They managed a 2-1 victory over Timperley Ladies 2nds at the NSC on Saturday (16 December) courtesy of goals from Kim Carney and Sarah Blackman.
Their next tie in the competition will take place on either the 6 or 14 January with the exact date and their opponent still to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, it was shootout heartbreak for the Isle of Man Ladies B team at the weekend in the EH Tier 3 Knockout Championship.
They managed a 3-3 draw in normal time against Liverpool Sefton Ladies 2nds at Liverpool College with Rachael Middleton, Ela Blakemore and Christina Kermeen on target for the Manx side.
Following that, the Island squad then went down 4-2 on penalty strokes.
