Report by Ben Cunningham:
Ladies Prem:
After Castletown A's fantastic achievement last season they will be hoping they can get off to a winning start this weekend when they meet Valkyrs A who gave the southerners a good test last season, elsewhere newly-promoted Harlequins A have a hard first game in the premiership when they take on Vikings A who will want to reclaim the league title this season, finally Bacchas A meet Castletown B in what looks set to be a close match-up.
Mens Prem:
What a way to start the season with three big games - the first one being Bacchas A playing Vikings A, this will have everything and could be very important; Castletown A take on Bacchas B in what looks a close game but Castletown did give a few teams a shock last season - could they be underdogs going into this season? Finally, newly-promoted Harlequins A meet Valkyrs A who will give 'Quins' a good taste of what’s to come playing in the premiership this season.
Ladies Div One:
Valkyrs B who just missed out on promotion last season play Castletown C who will be looking to get a good start, Vikings B face Ramsey A who were relegated from the premiership last campaign so will definitely be looking to get back up this season if they can, finally we see Bacchas B play Bacchas C in a club derby.
Mens Div One:
Harlequins B play Vikings C in what could be a very close game and could be split be just one goal; Vikings B who missed out on promotion last season play Castletown B in a battle of the B teams, finally Valkyrs B play Ramsey A who were relegated from the premiership last season.
Ladies Div Two:
Two very close matches ahead as Vikings C play Castletown E and Valkyrs C play Castletown D, both these games will be close and it’s hard to pick a winner but they will be very competitive.
Mens Div Two:
A club derby between Bacchas Colts and Bacchas D will always have good entertainment, this will be a test of youth playing against experience but which one will come out on top? Elsewhere Ramsey B play Valkyrs C in a match up that could end level or be split by a winning goal.
