Manx snooker player Darryl Hill plays world number 38 Tom Ford in the first qualifying round at the World Snooker Championship in Sheffield today.
The best of nine frame contest is being played at the Ponds Forge Sports Centre.
Hill has climbed the rankings and is currently at number 91.
Players wanting to progress to the televised stages at The Crucible will have to win through four qualifying rounds.
