Good numbers at Meary Veg

Wade edges competition

Perfect conditions greeted the 29 shooters taking part in the fourth and final round of the winter series sporting league at Meary Veg in Santon.

Alan Wade got stronger as the competition went on and took the Class A honours with 41 points.

Second was Eddie Brew on 40 with David Clague third on 39.

The Class B winners were Nigel Moffat and Chris Parker on 38.

And Ted Davies finished well ahead in Class C on 32 points.

The overall series winner was George Davies.
