Subject to the weather, play will now get underway from 7.30am at Rowany on Sunday morning.
Eighty-one of the Island's top players are hoping to qualify for the last 16 of the tournament.
Competitors face two rounds with champion Mike Rae defending the title on his home course.
The sixteen qualifiers will move forward to next week's matchplay rounds which take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
The Final will be staged next Saturday.
