First-time winner set to be on the trophy
There will be a new name on the Grant Thornton Island Golf Championship this year.
In Wednesday night’s semi-final, Tom Harris defeated former champion Darryl Callister 4 and 3 while Andrew Challenor qualified for the final for the first time after seeing off Richard Gault 4 and 2.
The final on Saturday at Mount Murray tees off at 10am with the second round at 2pm.
Neither of the finalists has won the championship before.
