Isle of Man golfer Ana Dawson has recorded the best result of her Ladies European Tour career so far in South Africa over the weekend (18-19 April).

The 2026 Joburg Ladies Open took place at Randpark Golf Club in Johannesburg on Saturday and Sunday.

At the end of play, Dawson tied for 24th at 7-under par and finished with a score of 285.

Overall, the Island player scored one-under-par (72) in round one, two and three and and impressive four-under-par in the fourth and final round.

French athlete Agathe Laisne won the event after a three-way playoff between South African Casandra Alexander and Australian Kirsten Rudgeley, after the trio tied at 19-under par.

Dawson will be staying in the Rainbow Nation for her next event as she heads west to take part in the Investec South African Women’s Open in Cape Town this week.
