Helen Taylor wins women's race
Ian Goatman and Helen Taylor were the winners of the Leinster Management 20 Mile Road Race yesterday (Sunday).
The 40-lap race of the NSC perimeter road is considered an ideal event for long-distance runners planning a marathon.
Goatman took the honours in a time of two hours, nine minutes, 37 seconds – 16 seconds ahead of runner-up Richard Highfield.
Tom Williams was in third, just over three and half minutes behind (2:13:26).
Women’s race winner Helen Taylor finished eighth overall in a time of two hours, 39 minutes, 14 seconds.
Nicola Kennedy was second (2.40.19) with Anja Hav Thomson the third lady home (2.48.29).
