Gerrard doubles up

Richard adds End to End to Parish title

Richard Gerrard was the winner of the of the Ramsey Bakery End to End Race Walk on Sunday.

Starting at the Point of Ayre, Gerrard reached The Sound in a time of 7 hours, 1 minute and 2 seconds.

He was 9 minutes and 3 seconds ahead of runner-up James Quirk over the 39.2 mile course.

Gerrard adds the End to End title to the Parish Walk which he claimed for the fifth time in June.

Third overall and winning the women's race was Michelle Turner stopping the clock at 7 hours, 16 minutes and 7 seconds.

Second was Jayne Farquhar who finished in equal seventh overall and third home was Kathryn Clough.

Winning the shorter race over 22 miles to Peel were Brian Kelly and Katie Kelly.
