Peel athlete Keith Gerrard has run the fastest 1,500 metres ever recorded by a Manx athlete.
Running for the University of New Mexico at the Sun Angel Classic in Arizona, Gerrard clocked 3 minutes 47.52 seconds.
He finished a close second in the race, but his time was 1.09 seconds quicker than the previous best he set at Twickenham almost two years ago.
The Manx Sports Aid recipient said: 'I was looking for a quick run in preparation for the 5k race I will be running next weekend, but to get a PB was a bonus'.
Gerrard now heads to Los Angeles on Friday where he hopes to reduce his 5,000 metre record.
