Gandy out of English Amateur

Manx star beaten in quarter-finals

Rowany golfer Tom Gandy has been knocked-out of the English Amateur Championship at Ganton.

He was beaten 7&5 by Daniel Brown of Masham in the quarter-finals.

Tom never really recovered from being three down after just four holes.

The Manx player will have to settle for making the last eight when over 280 players started the tournament at the beginning of the week.
