Today's stage of the Tour de France gives Mark Cavendish another opportunity to equal the record number of wins.

Stage 13 is a flat stage with riders clocking up 220 kilometres from Nimes to Carcassonne.

The Manx Missile has a comfortable lead in the green jersey points competition.

Cavendish has 33 stage wins to his name just one behind record holder Eddie Merckx.
