Island resident Cal Crutchlow narrowly missed out on a place on the podium at the latest round of the World Superbike Championship in Misano.
Crutchlow had to settle for fourth spot after a scrap with third placed Michel Fabrizio in race two of the weekend.
Max Biaggi asserted his dominance by winning both races and now leads the championship by 37 points.
Crutchlow didn’t finish the first race although another Island resident, James Toseland, did, coming in 10th.
Toseland didn’t complete the second race.
In the fifth round of the British Superbike Championship at Mallory Park, there was a ninth and tenth place for Peel's Andrew Pitt.
