Fortieth anniversary of emotional TT comeback

Hailwood's 1978 victory to be celebrated in parade

One of the most iconic moments in TT history will be celebrated at this year's Classic TT.

Mike Hailwood's emotional 1978 comeback to the mountain course will marked with a parade lap by 23-time TT winner John McGuinness, on Hailwood's original Sports Motorcycles Ducati.

The event commemorates the 40th anniversary of 'Mike the Bike's' triumph, following eleven years away.

The lap, which will be on Saturday 25 August, will be watched by the late TT legend's family, including his wife Pauline and son David.
