Former MHK highlights issues facing Island

Manx Radio's general election coverage focused on the northern constituency of Ramsey today (Thursday), with polling now only seven days away.

The town is well-known for its Victorian pier, the preservation of which has been the subject of much debate in recent decades, and is the Isle of Man's third largest centre of population, after Douglas and Onchan village.

Resident, former member of Tynwald and Armed Forces veteran Brigadier Norman Butler (pictured) says the Island has a lot to think about in next week's election (listen to audio file below):

In alphabetical order, the six candidates in Ramsey are Allan Bell, Linda Bowers-Kasch (Liberal Vannin), Anne Craine, Lawrie Hooper, John McDonough and Leonard Singer.
