The Isle of Man senior football team get their National League Systems Cup campaign under way today (Saturday) and revenge is on the menu for their first round tie.
They warmed up for it in confident fashion with a 2-0 win over League of Wales outfit Prestatyn on Tuesday night, in a match which saw a debut goal from Gymns striker Ciaran McNulty.
In the NLS they face Midlands Combination, the side which knocked them out on penalties at the semi-final stage last season.
Manager Kevin Manning says there's plenty of motivation for today's fixture:
FC Isle of Man to begin new year with Chadderton test
Hockey: Opening fixtures of 2026 campaign confirmed
Rugby: Ramsey and Vagabonds on the road to start new year
Football: Ecap FA Cup clashes to kick off 2026
