D&D and Laxey beginning preperations
Two football clubs have announced plans to enter the Canada Life Women's League for the start of the 2026/27 season.
Douglas & District Football Club and Laxey AFC are calling for 'new and experienced' players to join their ranks.
If successful in attracting new members, it would see the division expand to nine teams following Rushen United and Union Mills' entry this season.
10 years after starting their first girls team, D&D will begin training next Tuesday (3 February) for seniors at the Bemahague sports hall from 7pm-8pm.

Meanwhile, Laxey's sessions will be 'every Monday' at the NSC from 7pm-8pm.
