Manx side competing in Liechtenstein this weekend
The Special Olympics IoM football team enjoyed a big opening win on their first day of competing in an international competition.
The five-a-side squad are out in Liechtenstein for the Small Nations Football Tournament, competing alongside seven other European countries.
The Manx side got off to a flyer with a 7-0 victory over Luxembourg.
Sadly, frustrating losses at the hands of Gibraltar, Montenegro and Monaco mean the gold medal is now out of reach of the Island outfit, but the Special Olympics management team say they're 'beyond proud' of the team's efforts.
The series is running in Vaduz until tomorrow (23 October).
