Northerners claim silverware for first time in 40 years
Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) have been crowned winners of the 2026 GH Corlett Woods Cup.
The northern side secured the silverware following a narrow 1-0 win over Marown at The Bowl in Douglas yesterday (3 April).
During a cagey affair, Rycob. grabbed the first and only goal of the contest on 65 minutes through Layton Ballard.
What's more, it's the first time the club has lifted the trophy in 40 years having last tasted success in the competition during the 1985-86 season.
Separately, Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys captain, Will Smith scooped the Man of the Match award.
The showdown was the first in an Easter weekend double-header of cup finals in Manx football.
The second of the two finals - the Ecap FA Cup final between St Mary's and Corinthians - will be held today (4 April), also at The Bowl in Douglas, with kick-off at 1pm.
