Football: Premier League title race on a knife edge

Several teams also have chance to close gap at top of Division 2 (Fixtures: 1-2 Feb)

The battle for supremacy in the Canada Life Men's Premier League looks set to intensify this week after the title race was blown wide open last weekend.

Peel and Corinthians are locked at the top together on 37 points after the latter beat the westerners last Saturday (25 January), but just one of those two sides is in action tomorrow.

With the chance to go three points clear at the top, Peel host Union Mills whilst Corinthians have a rest week.

Defending champions Ayre United - who sit third, six points behind Corinthians but with two games in hand - are at home against Rushen United.

In Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2, the current top two of Braddan and Douglas High School Old Boys (Dshob.) are both without a match this weekend.

Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) will go level on points with Dhsob. in second if they take victory against Douglas Royal.

Castletown and Colby could also go to within one point of second on Saturday afternoon - they're away at Malew and Governors Athletic respectively.
