18-year-old to return to Carlisle
Isle of Man footballer Freddie O'Donoghue's loan spell at Queen of the South has come to end.
The 18-year-old is set to return to parent club Carlisle after joining the Scottish League One side in August 2025.
O'Donoghue scored three goals in 20 appearances while on loan.
Queen of the South Manager, Peter Murphy said O'Donoghue is "a young enthusiastic player with real potential due to all of his attributes and willingness to work hard for the team.
"Not only was he a joy to work with, he was a real character and will be missed around the place.”
O'Donoghue first joined the 'Blues' in March 2023 at the age of 16 on a two-year scholarship and signed his first professional contract in August.
He made his first competitive appearance for the first team in September last year in the EFL Trophy against Nottingham Forest Under-21's.
