Inaugural Cherry Godfrey Cup will be held in Jersey later this month
The Isle of Man women's national football side will face off against fellow Island nations in a new tournament being held later this month.
The Manx side will be part of the inaugural Cherry Godfrey Cup which will also feature the hosts Jersey as well as the Isle of Wight and Guernsey on 23-24 August.
It's hoped the four-team event can showcase the quality of female footballing talent across the Islands.
Isle of Man women's team captain Becky Corkish and head coach Wayne Lisy also thinks this competition could offer an exciting high-level challenge for them outside the Island Games both now and in the future:
The Cherry Godfrey Cup will be held at Springfield Stadium in St Helier, Jersey with play-offs taking place on Friday, 23 August before the final is held on Saturday, 24 August.
Entry will be free of charge for spectators for all matches.
The Isle of Man women's side's last competitive outing was at the 2023 Island Games in Guernsey in which they secured the bronze medal.
More recently they competed in a series of friendlies from 12-14 July which saw them claim back-to-back home wins against Welsh club NFA FC before taking an away victory against Lionesses Supporters FC.
