Manx side looking to defend title in Guernsey this weekend
The Isle of Man women's national football squad has been named for the 2026 Cherry Godfrey Cup this week.
A team of 16 Island players will fly the Manx flag at the two-day tournament taking place at Victoria Park in Guernsey this Friday and Saturday (26-27 June).
The Isle of Man go into this year's event as defending champions having won the inaugural event in Jersey in 2024.
It features four teams with the Isle of Man joining hosts, Guernsey, as well as Jersey and the Isle of Wight.
The Manx squad's first test will be up against Guernsey on Friday with kick-off scheduled for 8pm.
Heading into this week's event, the Isle of Man will arrive off of the back of two consecutive friendly wins against Preston North End and FC United of Manchester last month.
