Football: DHSOB confirm Karl Gartland as new first team boss

Club also confirms new combi management duo

Douglas High School Old Boys (DHSOB.) have confirmed the appointment of Karl Gartland as first team manager.

He takes up the role having assisted predecessor John Gartland who has stepped down from the post - 'Old Boys' describe John as 'an infectious man and will be missed on the touchline.'

Last season, the outgoing boss guided the first team to winning the 2024 GH Corlett Woods Cup competition; a fourth-placed finish in DPS Ltd. Division 2 and the quarter-finals of the Ecap FA Cup.

Meanwhile, the club has also announced Richie Jamieson has left his role as combination team manager - he will be replaced by Liam Buckley and Alessandro Mazzotta. 

In a further update late last week, DHSOB. stated it's plans to introduce an Under-18's side for the 2024/25 campaign with further information on this to be released in due course.
