Football: Current premier league top two to meet this weekend

Rushen United and Laxey hoping to protect perfect starts

The current top two in the Canada Life Men's Premier League meet this weekend as part of the latest, upcoming Isle of Man football fixtures.

Among Saturday's ties, Rushen United host Laxey with both sides the only two top-flight teams to boast perfect records of four wins from four so far.

Meanwhile, another team with a 100 per cent tally to protect is Castletown in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 with the southerners due to host Marown.

There are undefeated sides in the combination divisions also - Rushen United with three wins and a draw from their opening encounters head to Laxey in Canada Life Combination One.

In Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Combination Two, Pulrose United will be looking to make it five wins from five when they face Douglas Athletic away from home.

All of Saturday's matches are due to get underway at 2.30pm.

Elsewhere, the Canada Life Women's League returns for gameweek two on Sunday (21 September) with several teams still yet to get their league campaigns underway.

Union Mills, Douglas Royal and Malew - whose games were all postponed last weekend due to pitch conditions - are due to be in action this time around as are Corinthians.

Separately, all Peel AFC men's and women's matches this weekend have been postponed following the death of Kian Broadhead last week.
