Football: Cup final double-header this Easter weekend

2025 Woods Cup and FA Cup to be decided

A double-header of cup finals is front and centre in Isle of Man football this Easter weekend.

Two trophies will be decided in the space of two days - firstly on Good Friday (18 April) Braddan face Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) in the final of the 2025 GH Corlett Woods Cup.

A day later on Easter Saturday (19 April) it's the turn of the 2025 Ecap FA Cup final as Foxdale take on Ayre United.

Both ties will take place at The Bowl in Douglas, both kicking-off on their respective days at 2pm.

The first of the showdowns tomorrow (18 April) is a meeting of two of the top Division 2 sides at this stage of the campaign.

Braddan have already been crowned Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 champions which came just a few weeks after mathematically securing promotion back to the Canada Life Men's Premier League after relegation last season.

Meanwhile, Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys have also enjoyed a positive season so far - they sit third in the Division 2 standings and just one point behind Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) in the race for the final promotion spot.

Elsewhere in the Ecap FA Cup on Easter Saturday, Foxdale have reached the last two after a year of progress in which they won the Division 2 title in the 23/24 season.

However, they face an Ayre United side well-versed in silverware in the last two seasons.

As well as being the 23/24 Canada Life Men's Premier League champions they've already won the Eric Fletcher Charity Shield and Plum Properties Railway Cup in this campaign.

The Easter weekend as a whole will be rounded off on Easter Monday (21 April) with the first round of this year's Cowell Cup competition for Under-21 teams.

Three fixtures will get underway that evening at 6pm.
