Marown also still in the mix after win at Douglas & District
Castletown moved back to within one point of the remaining promotion place in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 with victory during yesterday evening's latest Isle of Man football showdowns (12 May).
The southern side were 5-2 winners at Pulrose United whose own promotion hopes were all but mathematically extinguished by the defeat.
That result means Castletown sit jut one point behind Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) in second - who didn't have a match last night - and with Castletown still having a game in hand.
Also still in mathematical contention for promotion are Marown who were convincing 8-0 winners at Douglas & District - Marown sit eight points off of second spot but with four games still to play.
Elsewhere last night in the division, Malew put seven past Governors Athletic whilst already-crowned Division 2 champions, Colby have now slipped to back-to-back losses after being beaten at Douglas Royal.
There's only one fixture in Isle of Man football this evening (13 May) which comes in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Combination Two between Braddan and Onchan.
