Prem title race and Division 2 promotion fights still wide open
Title and promotion battles remain fiercely-fought across the top two divisions in men's football on Island ahead of another round of midweek fixtures getting underway this evening (28 April).
Nine matches are on the cards tonight across the Canada Life Men's Premier League and Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 with just three points separating the main protagonists in the premier league title race.
Defending champions, Peel lead the way in the top flight ahead of a trip to Union Mills whilst second-placed Corinthians - three points behind Peel and having played a game more - will host Rushen United.
Peel could wrap up the title tonight if they win at Union Mills and Corinthians fail to beat Rushen United at Ballafletcher.
At the bottom end of the premier league, Foxdale - who earned their first league win of the season last weekend - once again need to take all three points tonight against Douglas High School Old Boys (DHSOB.) to avoid relegation later.
Meanwhile, in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2, runaway frontrunners, Colby could move a step closer to the title when they welcome Douglas Royal to Station Fields.
Furthermore, Colby could secure promotion to the Canada Life Men's Premier League and win the title this evening if they take maximum points and Marown suffer defeat against Malew
