Corinthians with chance to extend women's league lead (Fixtures: 5-6 Oct)

Two teams have the chance to leapfrog Peel at the top of the Canada Life Men's Premier League during this weekend's latest Isle of Man football fixtures.

With the westerners on a rest week, Foxdale in second - one point behind Peel on 15 points - and Ayre United who're third on 13 points and with a game in hand take on Onchan and Union Mills on Saturday respectively.

Coming back into the fold in the top flight after a break last weekend are struggling Marown - with no points in five games along with Onchan but worse off on goal difference - who take on St John's United at home.

Elsewhere, another meeting of two big guns in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 awaits tomorrow.

Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) - who held leaders Braddan to a thrilling 4-4 draw six days ago - are away at Michael United who're one place above 'Old Boys' in second having played two games more than their latest visitors.

Meanwhile in Canada Life Combination One, Onchan and Rushen United - who're both locked together at the top on 15 points - will be hoping to keep up their respective 100 per cent records.

Finally, it remains tight at the top of Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Combination Two going into this weekend with just three points separating leaders Braddan down to Colby in fourth with Dhsob. and Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) in contention in second and third.

All matches on Saturday are due to kick-off at 2.30pm with the exception of St Mary's vs Ramsey in the Canada Life Men's Premier League which will start at the earlier time of 1.45pm.

Into Sunday and in the Canada Life Women's League Corinthians - who took a huge win over title rivals and defending champions Peel last week - have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the division at home to Douglas Royal.

The other match in that league that day sees Malew host Onchan with Peel on a rest week - both women's league contest will take place on the day at 2pm.
