Football: 2024 Railway Cup semi-finals beckon

Ayre host Laxey whilst Peel head to Corinthians (Fixtures: 7-8 Dec)

This year's Plum Properties Railway Cup competition begins this weekend as part of the latest scheduled Isle of Man football fixtures.

Tomorrow (7 December) the semi-finals of the tournament are due to be held both due kick-off at the earlier time of 1.15pm.

At Andreas Playing Fields, current Canada Life Men's Premier League holders and defending Railway Cup champions Ayre United host Laxey.

Meanwhile, third-placed Corinthians welcome current top-flight leaders Peel to Ballafletcher.

League fixtures are penned in to also take place on Saturday - there are four matches on the agenda in the Canada Life Men's Premier League including an important battle towards the bottom between Onchan and St George's.

In Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2, table-toppers Douglas High School Old Boys are without a match this weekend which means second-placed Braddan could at least temporarily go top with a win or a draw when they travel to Pulrose United.

Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) - eight points behind 'Old Boys' at the summit in third - will be aiming to close the gap on the leading duo but face a potentially tough task at home to Castletown.
