Football: 2023/24 men's league season fixtures announced

Peel to begin prem title defence at home to St George's

The fixtures for the 2023/24 men's football league season on the Isle of Man have been announced this week.

The new campaign is set to begin on Saturday, 2 September with games across the Canada Life Men's Premier League, DPS Ltd. Division 2, Canada Life Combination One and DPS Ltd. Combination Two.

In the top flight, last season's champions Peel will begin their title defence at home against St George's.

Elsewhere, last season's runners-up, Corinthians, will head south on the opening day to face Rushen United.

Meanwhile, for the sides promoted from last season, Division 2 winners from last year, St Mary's, will start their campaign away at St John's United and head to Ballafletcher to take on Douglas Royal.

The only premier league side who won't be in action on the first day is Ayre United who have a free weekend.

Six games across Division 2 also on week one - among those the two sides relegated into the second tier from last season - Onchan and Douglas High School Old Boys (DHSOB.) - face Pulrose United away and Castletown at home respectively.

Among the first matches in the combination divisions, in Combi 1, reigning champions Rushen United - who won all 22 league games last season - begin away at Corinthians and the 2022-23 Combi 2 winners, St Mary's, start life in Combi 1 at home against St John's United.

All games on the opening day (2 September) are due to kick-off at 2.30pm.
