The first sporting event of 2010 is taking place at St. John's today.
The opening round of this year's Manx Fell League is a race up and down Slieu Whallian.
It's better known as the witches' hill, as folklore says anyone suspected of being a witch was put inside a barrel with spikes on the inside, and rolled down from the top.
Survivors were declared to be witches anyway!
Signing-on is at St. John's Football Club's Mullen-e-Cloie ground from1pm.
Last year's winners were Tom Cringle and Rose Hooton.
Start time for event: 2pm.
Shooting: Cross beats Faragher in shoot-off
Athletics: High turnout expected for Manx Mountain Marathon
TT 2026: Rhys Stephenson targeting steady progress for debut
Snooker: Hurricanes join PSM Legion at league summit
