Ravens kicking-off campaign at home to Litherland REMYCA tomorrow (26 July)

FC Isle of Man begin their new season in the NWCFL Premier Division this weekend.

After a disappointing 15th-place finish in the league in the last campaign, 'The Ravens' will be hoping for a positive start to 25/26 when they host Litherland REMYCA at The Bowl at 6pm tomorrow.

However, their Merseyside visitors have won on all three of their visits to Manx shores so far.

FC Isle of Man Manager, Paul Jones was asked what the main feelings are of he and his team going into this latest league journey:

In all six meetings between these two teams so far, it has always been the away side that has taken victory.

FC Isle of Man have taken three points in their trio of matches at Litherland Sports Park whilst Litherland REMYCA have a perfect record from their three games at The Bowl.

The most recent meeting of the two was during the previous campaign on 12 April this year where Litherland emerged 3-2 victors on Island.

Both clubs will also be hoping for improved fortunes for the entirety of this latest campaign after both finishing in the bottom half in 2024/25.

Following a positive start for the Manx side last season in which they initially began challenging for promotion play-off spots up until the end of 2024, Jones' side slumped at the turn of the year to eventually finish 15th on 61 points.

Meanwhile, Litherland finished further back in 19th and with a haul of 46 points, winning 12 of their 46 league outings.

FC Isle of Man vs Litherland REMYCA kicks-off at The Bowl in Douglas this Saturday (26 July) at 6pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our DAB and AM1368 channels.
