Ravens' four-game unbeaten run was ended last weekend

FC Isle of Man's manager says his side's confidence and belief has not wavered as they look to bounce back in the NWCFL Premier Division this weekend.

The Manx side will travel to Cumbria as they prepare to take on Kendal Town at The Westmorland Flooring Stadium on Saturday (24 February).

The Ravens' 2-0 loss at home to league leaders Bury last Sunday ended a previous four-game unbeaten streak.

But Paul Jones says that result has not dented the optimism around the club of late and they fancy their chances against a Kendal team they drew with last month:

Despite leaving The Bowl empty-handed last Sunday, the Ravens remain one of the division's in-form sides at present.

Their run of three wins, one draw and two defeats sees them sit seventh in the form table over the last six games out of all 24 sides.

That last outing against Bury was the first time in the last eight games the Island outfit has failed to score - should they respond with victory this weekend they could climb up one place in the table to 11th depending on other results.

For Kendal Town, after a very strong start to the season, results for Jimmy Marshall's side have faltered in recent weeks.

They've won just once in their last eight matches - losing five in that time - a run which has seen them drop down to eighth in the standings.

However, along with claiming a 3-2 victory on home soil against FC Isle of Man last season in February 2023, three points for Kendal Town this weekend could get them back to within two points of the promotion play-off spots.

Kendal Town vs FC Isle of Man takes place at The Westmorland Flooring Stadium this Saturday, kicking-off at 3pm.

FC Isle of Man team news

Having signed for the club this week, striker Daniel Hattersley is named in Paul Jones' squad to put him in contention for a debut appearance.

Elsewhere, Jack McVey and Callum Sherry are unavailable for the journey to Cumbria so there's call-ups once more for Ryan Burns and Connor Birch.

There's additional changes too further forward with Tiernan Garvey returning to the fold - Furo Davies and Tom Creer drop out.
