But manager warns against complacency on Merseyside

The FC Isle of Man squad is in 'high spirits' as they prepare to return to league action this weekend.

That's according to their manager as 'The Ravens' head on the road tomorrow (3 October) to face Litherland REMYCA in the NWCFL Premier Division.

The Islanders will make the journey to Merseyside following back-to-back wins with the latest of those a 6-0 hammering of Widnes Town in the Macron Cup last weekend.

Whilst their hosts on Saturday have had a tough start with just one win from their first eight in the league, FC Isle of Man Manager, Lee Dixon says there can be no room for complacency:

One notable statistic from this particular fixture is that in the eight meetings between the sides to date, the home team has never won.

FC Isle of Man are four-time winners at Litherland Sports Park whilst Litherland REMYCA's three wins over 'The Ravens' have all come at The Bowl.

There's been just the one draw between the two, a goalless stalemate at The Bowl in the opening game of the 25/26 campaign.

If FC Isle of Man were to make it a third straight victory in all competitions tomorrow, they could find themselves as high as third in the league standings, depending on results elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the last time Ste Scott's Litherland REMYCA tasted victory in the league came exactly one month ago in the NWCFL Premier Division at South Liverpool on 2 September.

However, they were victorious in their most recent outing last Saturday (26 September) where the secured a 3-1 home win over Ashton Athletic in the Macron Cup First Round.

Litherland REMYCA vs FC Isle of Man kicks-off tomorrow at Litherland Sports Park at 3pm
