FC Isle of Man fall short at Lower Breck

Clinical hosts extend Manx side's winless run

FC Isle of Man's recent winless streak has continued with a 3-0 defeat at in-form Lower Breck in the NWCFL Premier Division this afternoon (21 December).

A quick-fire first-half double put the Merseyside hosts in control, first with Sam Burns tapping home from close-range on 13 minutes before Elliot Hughes' calm one-on-one finish less than two minutes later.

FC Isle of Man were awarded a second-half penalty with 17 minutes remaining, however Ste Whitley saw his spot-kick denied by Lower Breck goalkeeper Theo Roberts.

The home side then wrapped up the contest as Tom Douglas swept home their third with 87 minutes on the clock.

This latest setback means 'The Ravens' have now gone four matches without victory - recording one draw and three defeats in that period.

Their next match will be at home against FC St Helens at The Bowl in Douglas on Saturday, 28 December, kicking-off at 6pm.
