FC Isle of Man 'can't wallow in self pity', says Jones

Freefalling 'Ravens' host Litherland REMYCA tomorrow night

In what will be their penultimate game of the NWCFL Premier Division season, FC Isle of Man return to The Bowl this weekend currently on one of the worst runs of form in the club's short history.

More than two months on since their last victory, 'The Ravens' play host to Litherland REMYCA tomorrow night (12 April) hoping to arrest an alarming slide down the league table.

FC Isle of Man Manager Paul Jones says he and the players recognise their recent run-in to the end of the campaign has been below standards.

However, he says if they're to turn that around with two matches remaining they can't afford to 'wallow in self pity':

Should the Islanders once again fail to claim maximum points this weekend it will see their winless run enter double figures (10).

Last weekend's resounding 4-1 home loss to Charnock Richard has seen Jones' side slip a further three places down to 15th in the league standings.

However, this Saturday's visitors also find themselves struggling to find victories of late - Litherland REMYCA have taken just one win in their last 11 and none in their last seven.

Whilst FC Isle of Man won the reverse fixture between these two sides at Litherland Sports Park back on 17 August, 2024 - the Merseysiders have enjoyed success on their last two visits to Manx shores.

They've won their last two meetings at The Bowl by an aggregate scoreline of 6-2, including a commanding 3-0 win in the most recent of those in August 2023.

FC Isle of Man vs Litherland REMYCA kicks-off at The Bowl this Saturday (12 April) at 6pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our DAB and AM1368 channels.
