Entries open for IoM 'FA Cup of Pool'

Largest 8-Ball competition of the year

The largest event of the Manx domestic 8-Ball Pool calendar takes place over three days next weekend, from Friday night until Sunday night at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas (Fri 26-Sun 28 Oct).

Players of all ages and abilities will compete to be crowned champion of the Isle of Man Pool Players' Association 'FA Cup of Pool'.

The competition boasts a long programme, with every match contested over a first-to-nine-frame format.

Players are given a handicap based on ability by the governing committee, so some will be given considerable head starts.

Entering the event costs £10, with substantial cash prizes for those who do well - the cost of the tables will be covered for the whole tournament.
