
Emerging Nomads upset the applecart in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield when they beat Vagabonds B 17-10 at King Williams College.
Furo Davies bagged the winner for Nomads as they hauled themselves off the bottom of the Shimmin Wilson Shield standings.
In the other Manx Shield game, Douglas B kept their faint title hopes alive with a 41-22 win over Castletown at Port-e-Chee.
Dean Gage was the star for Douglas with a hat trick of tries and there were also scores from Andy Corris and Lee Illott, plus 16 points from Illott’s boot.
Castletown’s points came via two tries from Ben Dalglish, one from Matty Craine, plus two conversions and a penalty from Nick Kieswetter.
