Dru Hamm was the winner of the Manx Telecom Merit Award at last night's Clerical Medical Parish Walk prize presentation at the Villa Marina.
Dru was born with cerebral palsy which affects her lower limbs, and was told by doctors she would never walk. She underwent operations and years of physio to enable her to walk.
In 2006, Dru walked the four-and-a-half miles to Marown Church in four hours and twenty-six minutes.
Last Saturday, she went even further and walked eleven-and-a-half miles to Santon in eight hours and thirty-eight minutes.
