They were unable to record an eighth straight win when they lost at home 23-24 to St Edwards Old Boys.
An extremely youthful Douglas side took the lead early on when Andy Jones crossed for a try.
Bryn Snellgrove added a conversion and two penalties to extend the lead to 13-0 before Old Boys finally crossed for a try.
John Bateson scored from full back to push Douglas further ahead and when Snellgrove added another conversion Douglas were 20-7 up at half time.
Snellgrove hit another penalty in the second half to make it 23-7 but his side were unable to hold out against a late Old Boys onslaught which saw them pip Douglas to the points by the narrowest of margins.
