Full weekend of entertainment planned at Port-e-Chee
Douglas Rugby Club is hosting a 7s festival next month and organisers are using it to act as a stepping stone to a much bigger event in 2022.
The festival will be held at Port-e-Chee in Douglas from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 June.
It will be made up of competitive 7s and corporate and social touch 7s, catering for all rugby abilities.
There'll also be Grass Track Cycle races organised by Cycle 360, Manx Fun Run races organised by Manx Harriers, the Highland Games StrongMann, the Young Farmers Tug of War and Silly Sports.
There will be a full programme for the weekend to keep the crowds entertained.
There'll be TT Senior Race Day entertainment, a classic bike parade, a Steve Colley pyrotechnic stunt show, bands, kids bouncy castles, Manx food & drink stalls and a Veterans charity rugby match.
The festival is doubling up as a practice run for an event planned for next Summer, which is hoped to be the biggest spectator sporting event on the Island in 2022.
