Runaway league leaders New Brighton were too strong for promotion hopefuls Douglas on Saturday.
The hosts dropped to fourth in South Lancashire and Cheshire Division One after an 11 points to 20 home defeat.
A Bryn Snellgrove drop goal ensured Douglas went in tied at 3-3 at half-time.
However, a try in the opening minute of the second half set the visitors on their way to victory, even though a Snellgrove penalty kept them in touch before Andy Corris crossed the line for a late try.
Aidan O’Shea was the hero in Division Two as Vagabonds consolidated fifth spot with a 10-5 victory at Oswestry, courtesy of a try, a penalty and a conversion – all from the boot of O’Shea.
Ramsey remain in relegation trouble.
They weren’t expected to get anything from high-flying Ormskirk and they didn’t – going down to a 57-10 defeat, despite tries from Steven Cleator and Matty Kelly.
