Douglas lost their 2016 opener in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One, going down 28-26 away at Glossop.
Bryn Snellgrove and Paul Leivers both picked up tries for Douglas with Snellgrove converting both and adding four penalties for an impressive 21 point personal haul.
Douglas pick up a losing bonus point but still drop a place in the standings.
