
Douglas B took the spoils in the big Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield game beating reigning champions Southern Nomads 29-24 in a pulsating game at Port-e-Chee.
Callum Carine, Scott Goodall, Niall Killey and Nick Hughes all crossed for Douglas with Goodall converting one as well.
Adam Howarth kicked two conversions and a drop goal.
Aaron Ledingham, Steve McHugh and Andy Joughin all picked up tries for Nomads with Will Cain converting three and adding a penalty.
In the other Shield game, Western Vikings picked up their first win of the season beating Ramsey B 32-7 at QEII.
Skipper Paul Wheeldon and Kevin Mellor both got two for Vikings with Tony Grundy and Sam Radcliffe getting one apiece.
